It's true, we are all a wee bit Irish on St. Patrick's Day, and Clare, Michigan is a perfect place to celebrate Irish heritage and traditions. Come to Clare March 14 -17, 2019 to enjoy our 44th Annual Irish Festival attracting thousands of spectators for a one of a kind celebration.

In the beginning, the Clare Irish Festival was a small party of a few local folks who said, “Let’s celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with more zeal than just a day at the pub drinking green beer!” And, since its conception in 1975, the Clare Irish Festival has had as its goal only one thing in mind–A Fun Weekend For All!

Vendors offer handmade crafts at the primary school. The huge parade marches throughout the streets. Aspiring cooks make special dishes for the recipe contests. Volunteers hang on during the bed race. Runners sprint along the race path. Leprechauns hang from the trees and dance in the streets. Green beer flows and music plays at restaurants and the “Clare Irish Pub." Even pet’s get in on the action with an Irish photo contest! The list of activities grows every year, so stay tuned to see all of the fun things planned for next year’s event. Céad Míle Fáilte!
